Continuity: The marks on Chance's face from getting hit by the porcupine change in nearly every shot, and at one point disappear all together, but are back in the next shot. | The only dark dog in the group is Riley, the leader. I would say he is a golden retriever mix, possiblty with leonberger. Trixie is one of the commentators at the baseball game at the beginnig of the film. She is a German Shepherd.
